Cider based cocktails
A DIFFERENT WAY TO DRINK CIDER
Cider is incredibly good drank alone, to enjoy its taste and aroma at the best. However it is also a great base for irresistible and original cocktails. From variations of the most famous drinks, such as margarita and sangria to elaborated recipes that enhance cider’s unique characteristics, there’s a lot to try!
Dark & Storming Cider
With rum and ginger
Ingredients
- A lemon slice
- 120 ml of ginger beer
- 10 ml lemon juice
- 60 ml of dark rum
- 60 ml of Goldkehlchen Apple cider
For one drink
Glass: cup
Preparation: Slowly pour cider, vermouth, whiskey and orange liquor in a glass with ice. Gently shake and add the angostura drops. Garnish with an apple slice and serve.
Cider Margarita
Margarita with cider and pomegranate
Ingredients (for one drink)
- Coarse salt
- 30 ml of sugar syrup
- 30 ml of lime juice
- 50 ml of tequila
- 50 ml of pomegranate juice
- 100 ml of Ramborn Somerset Blend
Glass: Cocktail
Preparation: Wet the edge of the glass and garnish it with salt. Put the ingredients in a shaker with abudant ice. Shake and serve.
Mexican Cider
With tequila and ginger
Ingredients (for one drink)
- A mint twig
- A fresh ginger piece
- A few fresh mint leaves
- 10 ml of lemon juice
- A piece or a few drops of agave
- 60 ml of tequila
- 120 ml of Ramborn Somerset Blend
Glass: Rocks
Preparation: Mix the mint leaves, lemon zest, ginger and agave in a shaker. Add cider, tequila and ice. Shake firmly and pour in a glass with crushed ice. Garnish with the mint twig and serve.
Cezar Cider
With prosecco
Ingredients (for one drink)
- A rosemary twig
- Prosecco
- 20 ml of Tempted Strawberry cider
Glass: Flute
Preparation: Pour the cider in the flute and bring to level by adding prosecco. Garnish with rosemary and serve.
Cider Sangria
With white wine and calvado
Ingredients (for 8 people)
- A thinly sliced apple
- A thinly sliced pear
- A pressed orange
- 240 ml of Calvados
- A bottle of white wine
- 1 liter of Aspall Draught Cyder
Glass: Wine Glass
Preparation: add all ingredients to an adequately sized jug. Leave to rest for at least 4 hours before serving.

Cider Special Drink
With Gin and Cider
Ingredients (for one drink)
- Ice
- 1 part of Gin
- 3 parts out of 3 of Eagle cider
- A bit of orange bitter
- Spiral-cut orange zest
Glass: Rocks
Preparation: Pour the ice in tall tumble. Add Gin, fill with Eagle Cider and a pinch of orange bitter. Shake and serve. Since the drink is “build, don’t shake it but gently mix in the glass. Garnish: Spiral-cut orange zest

De Bello
With rum and lemon
Ingredients (for one drink)
- 1 Oz of cinnamon-infused dark rum
- 1 Oz of Agricol white rum
- ½ Oz of Zombie mix
- ½ Oz of Lemon juice
- ½ Ox of Sugar syrup
- 6/7 mint leaves
- Aspall Draught Cyder cider to fill
Glass: After being shaken the drink is to be served double strainin a high ball glass.
Charachteristics: Created exclusively for Sidro&Cider by Borromeo 5, historical bar of Milan city center. Conceived jointly through the deep mixology knowledge of the owner Giacomo Savio and his bartender Nichita Anton, the cocktail ehnaces the taste of Aspall Draught Cyder. The marriage of tastes between mint and cider infuses the drink with unique freshness.

Adam’s Pearl
with bourbon and cognac
Ingredients (for one drink)
- 1 Oz of Cognac Courvoisier
- ½ Oz of Old Wild Turkey Bourbon
- ½ Oz of mandarin syrup
- ½ pressed lime
- Aspall Draught Cyder top to fill
Procedure:
Pour the spirits, the syrup and the lime juice in a shaker and shake vigorously, then pour the liquid into a long drink glass of your choice and complete with apple cider.
Garnish:
Serve with a teaspoon of mandarin jam.
